Hi! My name is Kate and I am a Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassador for the St. Louis Dream Gala on March 28, 2026!

In 2021, my pancreas stopped producing insulin—a hormone the body needs to get energy from food. This means my body now requires hourly attention and intervention (I have to have insulin every time I eat). There is nothing you can do to prevent it, and currently, there is no cure. But Breakthrough T1D is funding the most promising, cutting-edge science to end to T1D and that’s why I’m passionate about supporting the Breakthrough T1D Dream Gala!
