Powering Progress Research Update: Improving Lives in T1D Pregnancy

We invite you to join us as Breakthrough T1D-funded researcher Dr. Sarit Polsky, Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics and Director of the Pregnancy and Women’s Health at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, shares more about her research project titled “Hybrid closed-loop insulin therapy in pregnancies complicated by T1D.”

Women with T1D can have healthy pregnancies, however, obtaining optimal glycemic control and reducing health risks in pregnancies for mothers and their babies is still challenging. With the increase in diabetes technology that improves glucose control and lives of persons living with diabetes, what does the future of pregnancy with T1D look like?
