The Cherry Creek North Camera Club was formed in 2010 through a community partnership with the Cherry Creek North Neighborhood Association and photographers Ron Brady, Dick Cohen and George Vago.
The Camera Club gives neighbors in Cherry Creek an opportunity to learn about and share their photography in a community forum. Monthly meetings provide members time to critique prints and learn about composition. During the summer months, field shoots are planned to help club members better understand and gain experience with their cameras. These photo opportunities have included three-day trips to Crested Butte and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
All proceeds from the sale of the photographs will be donated to Breakthrough T1D-Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Breakthrough T1D is the leading global organization funding research to find a cure, treat and prevent Type 1 Diabetes.
Dick and Terri Cohen said, “Breakthrough T1D is a charity to which we have devoted countless hours because our son has had Type 1 Diabetes for almost 30 years. For the past several years, many members of the Cherry Creek North Camera Club have donated their wonderful photographs to the Breakthrough T1D (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Gala Silent Auction. These contributions have raised thousands of dollars to fund research to cure, prevent and improve the lives of people living with Type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetes. We are deeply moved and very grateful that the Club has chosen to donate the proceeds from this event to Breakthrough T1D.”
Purchases are tax deductible.
