We understand how overwhelming the first year of life with type 1 diabetes (T1D) can be and know how important it is to build your T1D support network.
Breakthrough T1D Mountain West Chapter Staff and Outreach Ambassadors are proud to host our Quarterly Newly Diagnosed Virtual Meetups.
We’ll share resources Breakthrough T1D has for T1D and answer your questions about our organization’s programs. Our Outreach Ambassadors will be joining us to share their personal experiences of living with T1D.
Join us in June for a special event! We’ll be welcoming guest speaker, Stacey Simms! Stacey created the Diabetes Connections podcast in 2015 and has been its only host and producer ever since. She is also the author of The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom and recently launched a second podcast, Diabetes Connections TYPE 2. Stacey is also the organizer and host of Diabetes Connections presents: Moms’ Night Out, an overnight conference for moms of children with diabetes, which is coming to Denver on September 20 and 21, 2024. Learn more about her and her work here!
Stacey will be hosting a presentation on “Diabetes Connections – Why We Need Them, How to Make Them,” where she’ll be discussing the importance of real-life connections for folks impacted by diabetes. Following her presentation, there will be an open conversation for all folks in attendance.
Registration for this free event is required. Please do so via our Zoom link.
