Nebraska and Iowa Chapter Leadership

Chris joined the Breakthrough T1D staff in January 2018 as Development Manager and promoted to Associate Executive Director in April 2022. She was an active volunteer with Breakthrough T1D for 11 years prior to joining the staff. Chris and her husband Bob have four children, two of whom are living with T1D. Chris’ son, Nolan, was diagnosed with T1D in 2006 at the age of two. Her daughter, Patsy, was diagnosed with T1D in 2013 at the age of four. Chris received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1995 and previously worked in the fields of education and sports medicine.

Born and raised in Omaha, Anna’s passion for volunteering started at a young age and continued into adulthood. Over the years, she has worked with amazing organizations including: Habitat for Humanity, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Lutheran Family Services, ALS Association, Omaha Food Bank, Open Door Mission and Stephen Center. In 2007, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha in Non-Profit Administration and Sociology. Anna started volunteering for Breakthrough T1D in 2008 after her cousin, Claire, was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 4. In 2013, she joined the Breakthrough T1D staff as Outreach Manager. Anna enjoys spending time with her family especially her husband Sam and their daughter, Etta.

Morgan graduated from Coe College with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Communication Studies. Prior to joining Breakthrough T1D, she spent several years working for a small business, Letter Perfect, before joining the non-profit world to work at the Catherine McAuley Center. Both Morgan’s husband and her best friend are T1D. Outside of work you can find Morgan thrifting or shopping for vintage home décor, reading, watching movies, or spending time with her husband, Colby, and their pittie pup, Calliope.
