Breakthrough T1D Northeast New York is proud to welcome Jon Keller as the new President of the Chapter Board.

Jon brings more than 20 years of leadership experience and over a decade of expertise in the technology and software industry. As President of Jahnel Group, he has helped lead the company to remarkable success, earning recognition on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list for seven consecutive years and being named one of the Times Union’s Best Places to Work for seven years in a row. In 2020, Jon was also recognized as one of the Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 honorees.

Throughout his career, Jon has built a reputation for helping organizations grow and innovate through technology. After beginning his professional journey in retail management, he transitioned to the tech sector, where he worked with startups focused on video streaming applications and later helped businesses scale across industries including healthcare, finance, and gaming. A graduate of the University at Albany, Jon has also served as an advisor to notable companies, including Death Wish Coffee Company, and is a respected voice in artificial intelligence and software development.

For Jon, however, this mission is deeply personal. Having lived with type 1 diabetes (T1D) since the age of 20, he understands firsthand the daily challenges faced by individuals and families affected by the disease. His personal connection to the T1D community, combined with his passion for leadership and innovation, makes him uniquely positioned to help advance Breakthrough T1D’s mission.

“I’m truly honored and energized to step into the role of Board President,” Jon shared. “This mission is deeply personal and profoundly important, and I’m excited to work alongside our dedicated board, staff, volunteers, and community to help accelerate progress for everyone impacted by type 1 diabetes.”

Please join us in welcoming Jon Keller as Board President of Breakthrough T1D Northeast New York. We look forward to the leadership, passion, and perspective he will bring as we continue driving progress toward a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).
