Breakthrough T1D Capital Region Starlight Soirée 2026

This is Bryanna’s first year involved with Breakthrough T1D Capital Region, and she is especially thankful for the mutual connections that introduced her to the Northeast New York Chapter. Those introductions opened the door to a welcoming and inspiring community and began a journey that led to her being asked to serve as Chair of this year’s Breakthrough T1D Capital Region Gala. She is beyond honored and excited to take part in such an important and meaningful event.

For Bryanna, the mission of Breakthrough T1D is deeply personal. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) at age 14, she has spent more than two decades navigating the daily highs and lows of T1D while continuing to live a full and active life. Her experience has shown her that T1D may be part of a person’s story, but it does not define what they are capable of.

Earlier this year, Bryanna proudly led Bry’s Breakthrough Baddies at the Capital Region Breakthrough T1D Walk, where the team raised more than $4,000 to support research, advocacy, and resources for people living with T1D.

Originally from the Boston area, Bryanna now lives in the Capital Region with her husband, son, and their dog, Willow. She works in marketing, helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations grow. Outside of work, she enjoys attending local events, listening to country music, spending time with her family, and connecting with others in the T1D community.

Bryanna is inspired by the progress being made in T1D research and technology and remains hopeful about what the future holds. As Gala Chair, she looks forward to bringing the community together for a joyful and meaningful evening that celebrates those impacted by T1D and supports continued progress toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Kelsey Knutsen is a strategic marketing executive for Crisafulli Bros. Home Services with a passion for building meaningful connections and creating lasting impact. In her professional role, she leads marketing initiatives that drive growth, strengthen customer engagement, and deliver measurable results, pairing strategic insight with creative thinking to advance business objectives and brand impact. She brings both energy and purpose to her work, with a strong belief in the power of communication to inspire action and build community.

Outside of her career, Kelsey is deeply committed to giving back and supporting efforts that make a difference in people’s lives. She values service, compassion, and the importance of showing up for others. She is proud to contribute her time and talents to causes that bring people together and create positive change. Her commitment to community is a meaningful part of who she is, reflecting both her personal values and her desire to make a lasting impact beyond the workplace.
