Join us for a morning of connection and care!
The Florida Blue Center has graciously offered to host us for an event focused on Caring for the Caregiver. We will be joined by Susan Vargas, Florida Blue Social Worker who will help guide discussion and share ways you can care for yourself while caring for someone with a chronic health condition.
We all know T1D is 24/7 management and is taxing when doing that management for someone else. The goal of this event is to provide you with meaningful connection to other T1D caregivers and learn some ways to ease the burden. All caregivers are welcome; moms, dads, grandparents, spouses or partners, and anyone else that helps carry the weight of T1D for someone they love!
Agenda:
- 9:30-10:00am – Arrive, mingle with other T1D caregivers, and grab a cup of coffee and snack
- 10:00 – Welcome from Breakthrough T1D
- 10:05-10:30am – Caring for the Caregiver discussion with Susan Vargas, Social Worker
- 10:30-11:00am – End of programming/mingle with other attendees
Childcare is available for the 9:30-10:30am window of this event.
