Mission: Possible Breakthrough T1D 2025 Orlando Gala

Carla Voorhees-Toll is a dedicated and passionate advocate for the T1D community, with over 30 years of personal experience living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Her commitment to the T1D community is deeply personal, as her father, Van, passed away from T1D complications at the age of 50. As one of seven siblings, Carla’s journey has been shaped by both the challenges of the disease and the resilience of her family.

Carla and her husband, Jason Toll, have been intimately involved with the Breakthrough T1D community throughout the years through the annual walk, gala, advocacy, and ride. She has completed over 20 Breakthrough T1D Rides and has served as a Central Florida coach for over three years. In 2025, she represented Central Florida on capital hill advocating for the renewal of the Special Diabetes Program. She has faithfully served on the Orlando board for several years, previously served on the South Carolina Breakthrough T1D board, lending her insights and leaderships to further Breakthrough T1D’s mission. Professionally, Carla works in sales at Johnson & Johnson.

Carla’s passion lies in advancing better treatments, improving screening and prevention therapies, and ultimately finding a cure for T1D. Her dad, family, newly diagnosed T1Ds and those yet to be diagnosed, fuel her passion to continually advocate. Her personal experiences and professional endeavors make her a powerful voice in the fight against type 1 diabetes.

Julie Jaworski has thrived with type one diabetes (T1D) for over three decades. She was first introduced to Breakthrough T1D by her friend, Carla Voorhees-Toll, creating a deep camaraderie and passion for improving the lives of those with T1D. She has been a devoted and enthusiastic advocate for T1D research ever since.

Julie and her husband Dan are avid cyclers and are active participants in multiple Breakthrough T1D Endurance programs, having completed many rides and runs. Her most notable accomplishment is completing 2 full Ironmans and 6 half Ironmans, all while living with T1D.

Julie is a retired elementary school teacher and guidance counselor, splitting her time between Florida and with her family across the country. She has previously served on the board of directors for Diabetes Training Camp and has served in event leadership positions for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Julie is committed to supporting and advocating for those with T1D. She believes in breaking through her limits and helping others to do the same. Fueled by both personal experience and unwavering passion, she’s a strong advocate in the fight against T1D. We’re proud to have her serve as our Fund A Cure Champion for the 2025 Imagine Gala.

Billy Flanigan is a graduate from the Boston Conservatory of Music where he received a BFA in Musical Theater. After graduation, Billy was hired by Walt Disney World where he continues to perform today. Billy has been seen in such shows as Tarzan Rocks, Broadway at the Top, The Hoop Dee Doo Revue and currently performs in the new Finding Nemo the Big Blue and Beyond. Perhaps his claim to fame at Disney was when he played Barbie’s beau, Ken in the Magical World of Barbie.

The big and small screens are no strangers to Billy as he has appeared in the feature film Dream Trap and television shows such as Superboy, Keenen and Kel and HBO’s From The Earth To The Moon. Currently you can see Billy on Prime Video in a documentary about his life, his 43 year career at Walt Disney World and his Flanigram’s that came about during the pandemic in Billy Flanigan, The Happiest Man on Earth.

Jeff Randall has never met a microphone he didn’t like!

Growing up in Southern California, he was fascinated with radio.  At the age of 17 he got behind the microphone at his college radio station leading to 25 years as a high energy Radio Personality at stations up and down the west coast!  When he was asked to be the Emcee at a local benefit auction in 1997, it opened the door to a new career as a Fundraising Auctioneer!

Along the way he has been a sports & special events announcer for everything from baseball, football, soccer and hockey to the NCAA Division One Women’s Final Four, the Coors Light Duathlon on ESPN and the Goodwill Games.

When he’s not holding a microphone, his hobbies include playing ice hockey, scuba diving and traveling with his wife to somewhere sunny & warm.

Jeff’s philanthropic involvement is personal and wide-ranging.  He has done it all in the world of philanthropy: event management, sponsorships, audience development, marketing, volunteer recruitment, logistics and budget design.

With a high-energy personality and enthusiasm that raises the level of any room he is in; Jeff Randall can make any crowd jump up and give with the same excitement he has for your cause.

Jeff Randall is one of the most highly requested auctioneers at the Stokes Auction Group, Inc.  Since 2001 Jeff has conducted over 1,025 Benefit Auctions for Philanthropic Organizations all across the United States and raised more than $225 million dollars.

Jeff has been raising funds for BT1D for more than 20 years working around 10 galas a year for BT1D.

This fun and impressive group was created exclusively with performers from the Orlando and Tampa area’s many theme parks! Our fun and highly motivating performers have worked together over the years in various shows entertaining guests from all over the world. Our performers have performed at Universal, Disney, Busch Gardens, Cirque du Soleil, and The Blue Man Group! Performers for these organizations compete with hundreds to thousands of performers for these positions and are absolutely the best of the best.
