Young Professionals Committee
The Northern Ohio Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is an emerging group of passionate and motivated young professionals (ages 18-40) dedicated to building a community and support network for those impacted by Type 1 Diabetes.
About the YPC
We formed the YPC to create a space for the young professional T1D demographic in the Cleveland area. Our members have a special connection to T1D—some live with the disease every day and others are connected through a friend or family member. The common thread: we all want to support the BT1D mission and turn type one into type none. Whether you are new to the T1D community or have been involved with Breakthrough T1D (or JDRF) in the past, the YPC is here to provide a network of friends and connections who share your passion for driving T1D breakthroughs through social events, fundraising, advocacy, volunteering, and education.
YPC Leadership
Anna Vergon Tucci, YPC President
Anna has been involved with Breakthrough T1D since she was diagnosed with T1D in 2002 at the age of 3. She was born and raised in Rocky River and graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Human Science in 2021. She now works for the Metro Health Research Institute as a Regulatory Specialist and lives on the Near West Side of Cleveland with her husband and their dog, Poppy.
