“In February 2025, our son Sean was diagnosed with T1D at just 12 years old. He was a typical sixth grader, happiest with a ball in his hand, whether he was on the baseball field or playing flag football with his friends. Nothing about that season hinted at what was coming. The diagnosis came without warning, and almost overnight we found ourselves overwhelmed, frightened, and searching for hope. What we found was a community that showed us Sean’s life wasn’t over. It was just different.”
