April 11, 2025, Missoula, MT
6:00 pm (Mountain Time)
Join us on Friday, April 11 at 6:00pm MT at the Headwaters Foundation’s Confluence Center for an insightful research update!
We’re thrilled to welcome Julie Geddes, RN, a longtime Breakthrough T1D (Formerly JDRF) volunteer and advocate, who will share the latest advancements in T1D research. Julie became involved with Breakthrough T1D in 2001 after her eldest son was diagnosed with T1D. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Pacific Northwest Chapter, a Ride coach, a Research Information Volunteer, Montana Advocacy Team Chair, and a Clinical Trial Education Volunteer. With a background in molecular medicine and nursing, as well as experience in clinical research and healthcare, Julie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the conversation. She is dedicated to expanding access to clinical trials and increasing awareness of emerging therapies that aim to improve life with T1D.
During this session, Julie will discuss how groundbreaking clinical trials and innovative therapies are accelerating progress toward cures and improving life with T1D. While children are welcome to attend, please note that this event is geared toward an adult audience. Food and drinks will also be provided!
