About

Please join Berry Epley, 2026 Breakthrough T1D Corporate Walk Chair and President – Nobles Restaurants, for breakfast on Wednesday, May 13, to learn about opportunities for your company and your team members to make an enormous difference in the fight to cure type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Breakfast will be in the private dining room at Rooster’s in Winston-Salem, with food provided by Copain Bakery & Provisions.

Throughout the year, people from across the Piedmont Triad, the high country, and southwestern Virginia will join forces to power more T1D research, enable greater advocacy, and provide a sense of community for the 1.5 million Americans living with type 1.

By supporting Breakthrough T1D in the Piedmont Triad, you’ll be at the forefront of making a difference. You and your colleagues will walk shoulder-to-shoulder with families, individuals, school groups, and corporate teams focused on turning Type One into Type None.

Over breakfast, we’ll also share opportunities to support Breakthrough T1D’s Ride, Run, and (new for 2026!) Golf programs as well as our famous Piedmont Triad Hope Gala.

Since its founding 31 years ago by Buff Perry of Winston-Salem and Anne Hummel of Greensboro, the Piedmont Triad Chapter of Breakthrough T1D (formerly “JDRF”) has propelled tremendous progress in T1D research, advocacy, and treatments for people with type 1. YOU and your team can be part of this legacy!*

Please RSVP to Piedmont Triad Senior Chapter Director Eleanor Schaffner-Mosh at eschaffner-mosh@bt1d.org or 336-209-2269.

We hope to see you on May 13!
