Did you receive a Bag of Hope, Teen Pack, or Adult Pack upon your own type 1 diabetes (T1D) diagnosis?
Do you feel passionate about helping others know they are not alone in the T1D club?
Do you find joy in building community?
Then join the Breakthrough T1D Rocky Mountain Chapter for our Community Engagement Volunteer Info Session!
Community Engagement Manager, Andrea Santoyo, and Outreach Ambassador Chair, Sharlee Hendricks, will be hosting an informational session to discuss opportunities within our Outreach Ambassador (OA) program. OAs play a vital role in supporting the T1D community. These volunteers provide the first touchpoint to those new to T1D and those new to Breakthrough T1D as an organization. Through emails and phone calls, they offer first-hand perspectives on life with T1D, educational and support resources, an introduction to their local chapter, and other local and national support and networking programs. We’ll also be discussing other ways OAs support Community Engagement efforts throughout the territory.
Not sure if the OA role is the right fit for you? We still welcome you to join us to learn about other ways to support community building!
Registration is required for this virtual event. Please do so here.
Unable to attend live, but still interested in information? Please still register and Andrea will reach out to you to share more details!
PLEASE NOTE: This event is intended for interested volunteers currently residing in the Rocky Mountain Chapter’s footprint (Colorado and Wyoming).
