        No check-in is required prior to fishing
        The weigh-in will take place at The Waterline under Doc’s Seafood & Steaks, 13309 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78418.
        The weigh-in will start no earlier than 12:00 PM and no later than 2:00 PM.
        Anglers must be in line with fish in hand by 2:00 PM. Anyone attempting to get in line after 2:00 PM will not be allowed to weigh in.
Fishing for a Breakthrough Fishing Tournament Official Rules & Format
1.By receiving these rules, all entrants agree that they understand and will follow all rules and stipulations of the tournament.
2.Captain’s Meeting will be at The Waterline under Doc’s Seafood & Steaks, 13309 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78418. Late registrations will be held from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM, with the Captain’s Meeting beginning at 6:30 PM. At least one angler from each team must be present.
3. All teams will be competing in the same division.
4.Teams may consist of up to four (4) individuals. Guides may be hired; however, the Guide does not count as a team member and may not contribute fish to the team.
5.A Guide is defined as any person who holds a TPWD Guide’s License, or any person that has been compensated to take people fishing within the past 12 months.
6.All fishing areas must be available to the general public.
7.You must have a valid Saltwater Fishing License from TPWD to fish in this tournament. Kids under 17 do not need a license but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
8.All Texas Parks & Wildlife laws apply. It is the responsibility of the angler to be familiar with all applicable fishing regulations.
9.Any entrant cited for a TPWD infraction will be automatically disqualified.
10.Tournament will proceed rain or shine.
11.Rules subject to change until the Captain’s Meeting.
Fishing Rules
12.All fish must be taken by rod and reel only. No cast nets, bow fishing, gigging, etc.
13.All live, dead, or artificial bait is allowed.
14.All fish entered must be caught during tournament hours. No check-in is required before fishing.
15.Teams may fish via land, pier, jetty, kayak, or boat.
16.All occupants of any boat and/or team must be registered in the tournament.
17.No fishing within 100 yards of another team’s boat or wade fisherman at any point.
18.All team members must remain within sight of each other and their vessel at all times during tournament hours.
19.All fish weighed in must have been caught by registered participants. No borrowed fish.
20.No holding or blocking off any fishing areas by other individuals not participating in the tournament.
21.One (1) pole per angler is allowed in the water at a time.

Weigh-In Rules
27.No scales or measuring devices will be available from the weighmaster or tournament staff prior to official weigh-in.
28.You must choose which fish you are entering into the tournament prior to weighing in.
29.Once a fish is placed on the official measuring board, it is considered entered and may not be replaced under any circumstances.
30.If bait or fish are inside the mouth of the fish when caught, it may remain in the mouth, but it cannot be secured. If it falls out at any time (including weigh-in), it may not be put back in.
Disqualification & Enforcement
31.Any fish that appears altered, mutilated, not in a fresh or edible condition, or not compliant with TPWD measurement regulations will be disqualified and may not be replaced for any reason.
32.No undersized or oversized fish are allowed in any category.
33.Any person attempting to defraud the tournament will be disqualified.
34.In the event of a tie in weight, the team that weighed in first will be declared the winner.
35.Weighmaster services will be provided by Gulf Coast Weighmaster Services. They are trained to check for freshness of the fish and for any tampering or alterations. Any and all decisions of the Weighmaster are FINAL, including fish eligibility and official time.
