On January 31st, Breakthrough T1D Southern Florida hosted an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration, generosity, and celebration. With 340 guests in attendance, our gala successfully raised over $1.2 million, making a profound impact on our mission.

The night featured a phenomenal dining experience curated by Crave Culinaire, setting the stage for an evening of elegance and connection. Guests were treated to world-class entertainment from the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, whose electrifying performance kept the energy high throughout the night.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from our very special guests—Fund A Cure family, Katie and Leo Perez, who joined us from Cape Coral, FL. They courageously shared their daughter’s impactful story, bringing the room together in a moment of heartfelt reflection. Their message not only inspired, but also helped us raise crucial funds to support critical research in our fight to cure type 1 diabetes.

We were also deeply moved by the words of our former and current youth ambassadors Ryan Price, Julia Reisman, and Leah Shwedel—who shared their powerful stories and reminded us why our work is so important.
