Like a family tree, our community flourishes through the support and contributions of each member, growing stronger with each passing year. “The Giving Tree,” symbolizes the lifelong legacies of those who have supported and advanced our mission. This theme is especially poignant as we transition from JDRF to Breakthrough T1D, reflecting our growth and evolution over the years.

We are honored to have Emily Ducat Beynenson and Erica Ducat Landes as our esteemed Gala Chairs for this year’s event. As the granddaughters of Lee Ducat, one of JDRF’s founding mothers, their leadership embodies the legacy and commitment that have propelled our organization to where it stands today. Founded in 1970 by a group of mothers whose children had T1D, our organization has grown immensely, thanks to the dedication of families like the Ducats. At this year’s gala, we will honor the history of Breakthrough T1D and the people who have shaped its journey.
