This year we are honoring the late Alan Seeman through Fund A Cure. For over 25 years, Alan fought tirelessly for his daughter, Alex, after she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Whether it was serving on the local Board of Directors, Chairing the Promise Ball, or advocating to local and state representatives, Alan never backed down.
Alan was an integral part of Fund A Cure during the pivotal Artificial Pancreas project. The San Antonio community rallied behind him to make it a reality and bring it to market. Today following diagnosis families can sleep a little easier knowing that a closed loop system is helping to keep their loved ones blood sugars in range. Today we continue the work through Cell Therapies, Disease Modifying Therapies, and Early Detection.
We hope you will join us in honoring Alan this year by making a gift to Fund A Cure. Fund A Cure is a 100% tax-deductible donation, which will accelerate this life-changing research. Fund A Cure donations will be invested in Breakthrough T1D’s effective and focused research agenda aimed to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until there is a cure.
