Fund A Cure with Samaritan Biologics | Breakthrough T1D Memphis Gala 2026

TN

About

Since the founding of Samaritan Biologics in 2019, we have been focused on Helping, Healing, and Giving. We live this mission every day by not only developing and distributing best-in-class perinatal tissue allografts for patients and providers, but we also donate at least 10% of our after-tax profits back to 501(c)(3) charities.

Given the nature of our business and the need to treat chronic wounds with diabetic patients, as well as our familial connection to Type 1 diabetes, Breakthrough T1D is particularly aligned with our company. We have supported Breakthrough T1D since the inception of Samaritan Biologics and are thrilled to continue doing so at this year’s Memphis Promise Gala on May 2nd, 2026.

With your support each year, we have been able to increase the funding towards researching improvements and finding a potential cure for Type 1 diabetes.

Advancements in research and treatment, which are made possible through generous donations, have transformed the quality of life for countless individuals living with Type 1 diabetes. This s includes our daughter, Kierstan, who was diagnosed in 2002 and currently works in event coordination for the Walt Disney World Company.

Developments generated by donations greatly impact the quality and longevity of life,  including the continuous glucose monitor, which broadened convenience and visibility through 24/7 traceable glucose monitoring on the arm or stomach, eliminating the need for a routine finger stick reading and the closed-loop system, which adjusts insulin given through an insulin pump, based on the continuous glucose monitor’s reading, maintaining control and reducing daily stress for Type 1 diabetics.

In addition to our philanthropic contributions, Ginny serves as president of the West TN Breakthrough T1D Board, and together, we were nominated for the 2025 Carol and Erwin Lurie Award, named after the founders of Breakthrough T1D, representing Tennessee.

We understand that not all will be able to attend the gala, but if you’d like to show your support in another way, please consider making a donation to the “Fund a Cure” portion of the night by clicking the blue “Donate to Fund a Cure” button on this page.

We appreciate your support for an organization that is so near to our hearts.
