The Recreate, Educate, Advocate, and Climb Higher (REACH) program is a recreation service for youth with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and their families through the promotion of healthy lifestyles. The REACH Weber program applies evidence-based practices to establish a Community of Practice dedicated to enhancing support for youth with T1D and their families.
REACH Weber provides fun, innovative recreation programming that combines positive youth development and diabetes education. Discover indoor and outdoor adventures, plus a fun daily craft. Build lasting friendships in a supportive, medically informed community designed specifically for youth with T1D. Participants not only have fun, they connect, gain confidence, and develop real-world skills to manage their diabetes, all while being empowered by peers who truly understand their journey.
REACH Weber’s Family Days for youth living with T1D ages 2 through 10 and their families.
All programming is free and facilitated by Weber State students, faculty, and staff, as well as local healthcare providers. Lunch is included with all events.
