The 2026 Breakthrough T1D One Night Gala chairs Robyn & Carl Bivens have been involved with Breakthrough T1D since shortly after the diagnosis of their daughter, Kate, in 2012 at age 9. They immediately jumped into the Breakthrough T1D community via family friends who also have a daughter with T1D, hitting the ground running as part of the Gala committee.

Throughout the last 14+ years, Robyn and Carl have supported Breakthrough T1D with their time, talents, voice, and treasure. Their commitment to our organization enables us to accelerate scientific advances and bring forward new therapies to keep people with T1D healthier until we can cure T1D.
