We are looking forward to hosting you this evening for the Breakthrough T1D One Night Gala, presented by Dominion Energy, at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond! Please read this document in its entirety as it contains important guest information.

The Breakthrough T1D One Night Gala is a black-tie event.

Transportation, Parking & Arrival
Valet Parking, sponsored by Estes Express Lines, is available at the main entrance of The Jefferson. Self-parking is also available in the surface lot located at 9 Jefferson Street and we encourage rideshare when possible.

No tickets are required for entry to the Gala – simply check-in by name at Guest Registration, sponsored by MEB General Contractors. You will be asked to register a credit card on file for checkout purposes. To make the check-in process a breeze, please consider pre-registering your credit card HERE. If no purchases are made, your card will not be charged.

Saturday, February 21 – Evening Schedule

6:00pm | Cocktails & Silent Auction, sponsored by Architectural Windows of Virginia — Marvin
We encourage you to arrive with plenty of time to view all the fabulous Silent Auction items up for bid, secure your jewelry sweepstakes entry, and socialize with the Breakthrough T1D community!

7:30pm | Seated Dinner, Live Auction, & Fund A Cure
Seating will begin at approximately 7:00pm. The program will begin at 7:30pm, followed by dinner service. On the evening of the event, your table number can be found at the top left of the auction mobile bidding site, right next to your bidder number.

The Live Auction features one-of-a-kind experiences, such as a Stunning Eastern Shore Getaway, a 6-night trip to Dublin Ireland, an exclusive private dining experience, and so much more. Bid cards will be available at your table when you arrive in the ballroom.

Fund A Cure is a meaningful part of our Gala experience. Your 100% tax-deductible contribution night of the Gala will drive research toward T1D therapies and other critical Breakthrough T1D research priorities.

Silent Auction is now open via Mobile Bidding

The silent auction is now open and available via mobile bidding on your smartphone! All guests with registered mobile numbers should have already received a text message with a personalized bidding link to begin bidding on the more than 175 packages we have available. Those packages will be on display at the Gala between 6:00 and 7:30pm on Saturday. The silent auction will close after the fourth live auction item, at approximately 8:30PM. If you did not receive a text, please email or text Stephanie (803-446-5578) your mobile number for access.

Helpful tips for successful bidding:

  1. Create a Watch List to move packages to “My Items” and keep an eye on the competition.
  2. Set your maximum bids to ensure you don’t lose your favorite packages! Max bids can help ensure you end victorious when the silent auction closes.
