Our daughter, Neala, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was just 3 years old. For the past six years, she has faced the daily challenges of this disease with incredible strength, courage, and determination.

Neala is an energetic, adventurous child who loves spending time outdoors. Whether she’s exploring nature, hiking, playing, or simply enjoying time outside, she wants to experience life like any other child. But Type 1 Diabetes is always there—requiring constant monitoring, insulin management, and careful planning. Even the simplest outdoor adventures come with extra challenges and concerns.

While today’s treatments help manage Type 1 Diabetes, they are not a cure. Every day, families like ours hope for a future where children can live free from finger sticks, insulin injections, blood sugar highs and lows, and the constant burden of this disease.
