Logan's Story
Logan was diagnosed at 2 years old and is now 10. With no family history his diagnosis was a complete shock and turned our world upside down. He was in full DKA when we brought him to the hospital and immediately transported to Galisano Children’s Hospital 2 hours from our home.
After a few months into diagnosis we received the Tandem Tslim pump and Dexcom G6 technology these items changed our lives with T1D drastically for the better!
Logan enjoys fishing, baseball, working on our family dairy farm, but most of all soccer. His diabetes has not held him back from any of the activities he loves. Especially his organized sports, we have been so lucky to have coaches willing to learn the ins & outs of Type 1 and also allow me to be on the sidelines close by in case he needs anything while playing. The technology we use to monitor him makes sports easier to navigate. We are so thankful he can act and play like any other child!
