A Breakthrough T1D volunteer and Board Member, Kathy Zander teamed up with the Waunakee High School Student Council to put on a month long fundraiser for Breakthrough T1D. Some of the fundraising activities included: raffle prizes, contests and point matches (matching dollars to points scored) at both a boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball game, swim meet fundraiser, auctioning off a school parking spot, donating proceeds from the Winter Formal dance, and a Culver’s Scoopie Night. All Raffle prizes, including a Wisconsin Dells Waterpark weekend, were donated by local community members and businesses. Kathy ended up raising roughly $6,500.00 for Breakthrough T1D!
