Support George Dorrington and help find a cure for type 1 diabetes!
Please join us for our Cracked Sidewalks for a Cure event on August 17th for a celebration that is authentically George!
The recommended contribution per family is $50, which includes lunch and the hoops activities.
(IMPORTANT NOTE: To register, please click HERE. Please also indicate in the “Personal Note” section how many family members will be attending the family lunch. If you’d like to play in the 2-on-2 adult basketball tournament, please also note this (and if you have a partner).
We are so grateful that our community has supported our family and George, who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was just five years old. Over the past three years, you have helped us raise more than $30,000.
Let’s keep it going in 2019! This year, we will have more great kids prizes as always!
We will once again feature a silent auction with some incredible packages. Bottom line, you won’t want to miss this! This event is called “Cracked Sidewalks for a Cure” in honor of the late legendary Marquette basketball coach Al McGuire who only recruited the toughest kids who had cracked sidewalks in front of their homes. George displays his own toughness and perseverance every day in his battle against this chronic disease.
Special thanks to our generous supporters and sponsors: Mark Veth, owner of Be Spectacled; Mike Bark and Bull Moose Financial; Cermak Fresh Market; Christ King School; Rob Noerenberg and Pritzlaff Meats; Marquette University, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
