About

Hello everyone.  You have heard the story before: our son Jeremy and both of his sons (Jaxton – 11; and Jameson –14) have had Type 1 diabetes (T1D) for some time.  Both Jameson and Jaxton are handling this challenging life situation with a maturity beyond their years.  The picture here is from Opening Day, 2024, as the happy fans cheered on the Brewers.  Baseball (and golf…) are very important to the Baier Boys!

Jeremy and his family are the reason we remain active within the JDRF Wisconsin Chapter.  JDRF is focused on research in three principal areas: the treatment, prevention, and – hopefully some day – a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.  During the past five fiscal years, through their research grants and T1D Fund investments (those that they have made, as well as private, alongside investments), more than $1 billion has been directed to cure T1D and improve lives—with most of it (approximately 82%) focused on cures.

So we continue in our efforts to raise funds for T1D research.  There is something called “Fund a Cure” at the Gala.  People raise their paddles at different contribution levels ranging from $25,000 down to $100.  In other words, cash contributions at any level are much appreciated!

We hope you will be able to attend the Gala.  We appreciate your consideration,
