Dear Friends and Family,

We’re honored to share that our family will be honored at the Breakthrough T1D Gala in Appleton, WI on March 7, 2026!

As many of you know, our journey with Type 1 Diabetes began in 2010 when Evan was diagnosed at the age of 5. We had no idea what was in store for him — or for our family. Life changed for all of us, including his brothers Drew and Ryan, as we learned about blood sugar checks, carb counting, insulin shots, and the many daily decisions that come with managing T1D.

Soon after Evan’s diagnosis, we found Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and attended our first Walk to Cure Diabetes. While it was difficult for us as parents to come to terms with this new reality, we’ll never forget how happy Evan was to be surrounded by others who truly understood what he was going through. That community and support gave us hope — and has continued to inspire us ever since.

Through the years, we have walked, rode, advocated, educated, recruited, and donated to Breakthrough T1D because we believe in their mission. We know they are the ones who will help bring us to the finish line of this disease — a world without Type 1 Diabetes.

Being chosen as the Breakthrough T1D Gala Honoree family is a tremendous honor, and we’re excited to help raise funds to support research and innovations that make life better for everyone living with T1D.
