About
Dear Friends and Family,
We are excited to announce that we will be the Honoree Family for the Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Milwaukee Gala on Saturday, March 1st, 2025.
We have been committed to supporting this fight against Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) for over 40 years. Mark was diagnosed in 1981 at the age of 24 and Maggie was diagnosed in 1992 at the age of 2. Mark’s brother, David, was diagnosed in 1987 at the age of 25.
T1D is very personal to us, and we’re incredibly thankful for our family and friends that have supported us through the highs and lows of managing this disease. Any family with a T1D Warrior knows the challenges of managing insulin, diet and exercise – it takes over your life. We are motivated to help fund vital research, raise awareness of the signs to look for and strive to find a cure for this relentless disease.
Over the years, we have seen treatments advance drastically from using urine test-tape, to glucometers, to continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps. Incredible strides have been made, but the disease still can have many unseen challenges to our bodies. Thus, we continue to intrepidly search and raise funds to a complete cure. Together, we are optimistic that we can achieve the ultimate goal of a cure.
Breakthrough T1D’s mission is to cure, prevent and better treat Type 1 Diabetes. With help from our community and generous donors like you, we take action to cure this expanding disease. We humbly invite you to support us in our journey to cure T1D. This can take form by purchasing individual tickets or hosting a table, donating an auction item, or making a Fund A Cure contribution.
Your gift will support making a difference in the lives of each person bravely fighting T1D every day.
One behalf of my family and all families with T1D warriors, we thank you for your consideration and actions.
With much gratitude,
The Frederick Family
