Delta Tau Delta is a values-based international college fraternity founded in 1858, with a network of more than 130 chapters and colonies across college campuses in the United States.
The organization is focused on developing leadership, service, and lifelong connection among its undergraduate and alumni members.
Delta Tau Delta in Action
Delta Tau Delta has partnered with Breakthrough T1D since 2012, mobilizing more than 130 chapters and colonies nationwide to advance the mission of improving lives and accelerating breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Through a combination of national and local engagement, Delta Tau Delta members bring energy, creativity, and service to their philanthropic efforts:
- Nationwide Walk Participation: Chapters actively form teams and participate in Breakthrough T1D Walk events across the country, raising funds and awareness in their local communities
- DIY Fundraising Campaigns: Members lead campus-based and community-driven fundraising initiatives, creating tailored events that engage peers and expand impact
- Volunteer Engagement: Undergraduate members and alumni contribute thousands of service hours supporting local chapter events, including galas and community activations
- Campus Activation: Chapters host awareness and fundraising events that elevate understanding of T1D while driving support for research
Since our partnership began, Delta Tau Delta has raised more than $2.5 million to support T1D research, demonstrating a sustained commitment to philanthropy, leadership, and community impact.
