Hope Gala Raises Over $800,000!

Thanks to so many generous contributions the 2012 Hope Gala, Art of the Cure was a huge success!

More than 600 Las Vegas corporate and philanthropic leaders attended the annual Breakthrough T1D Hope Gala on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino.  The evening was a record-breaking success raising more than $800,000 for Breakthrough T1D.

Highlighting the evening was the presentation to the 2012 honoree, Mr. Bill Hornbuckle.  Bill was honored for his long-time support of Breakthrough T1D and so many other organizations throughout Southern Nevada. 

Breakthrough T1D extends its sincere thanks to Gala Chair, Ken Henderson; Auction Chair, Lisa Taylor; the sponsors, auction donors, and hundreds of volunteers who made the evening possible. 

As guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal prepared by Chef Susan Wolfla, auctioneer Randy Parnell and emcee Clint Holmes enticed attendees with exquisite items including: a 2012 Nissan Leaf; two Australian Labradoodles; Making Waves – a mixed media art piece by Robert Marlon in collaboration with the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassadors; breakfast and tennis lesson with Steffi Graf; and an exclusive romantic getaway to Napa Valley, California.
