Go For It USA continues to raise money for type 1 diabetes research!

Go For It USA recently held its annual Flip for a Cure event at the Texas Station Hotel and Gambling Hall from Friday, January 25th through Sunday, January 27th.  Brandy Bauman is the owner of Go For It USA and has been the organizer of Flip for a Cure for the past four years.  Brandy saw first hand the need to find a cure for this disease; a gymnast on her team was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Brandy was so happy to report that she had 66 boys and 356 girls for a total of 422 athletes compete in this year’s Flip for a Cure competition.  Not only did athletes attend from Nevada, but many traveled from Arizona, Colorado, Ohio, New Mexico, California, and Canada.  The meet was spread out over three days and each club competed for the most donations to be awarded with a Breakthrough T1D sneaker trophy.  The sneaker trophy was presented to Gymcats Gymnastics from Henderson, Nevada.

A portion of the entry fee was donated to Breakthrough T1D and additional donations were accepted for paper sneakers and programs during the tournament.  We are very pleased to announce that Flip for a Cure raised an amazing $3,614.00 for Breakthrough T1D!

We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Go For It USA especially Brandy Bauman, the incredible athletes and clubs, donors, and volunteers who all participated to make this event spectacular.
