Volunteer of the Month – Natalie B
in Volunteers
The Nevada Chapter Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by our community partners at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. Each month we highlight one of our fabulous chapter volunteers and that volunteer will receive gift cards for free meals from Raising Cane’s.
This month’s volunteer works tirelessly at all of our chapter events, but you may not have known she was there!
Natalie B has been the Nevada Chapter #1 mascot for the past two years. She and her family approached the Breakthrough T1D office and asked if she could take on this special role. For the past several walks and TypeOneNation Summits, Natalie has entertained the crowds with her enthusiastic mascot performances.
Last week, Breakthrough T1D was invited to participate in the Good Neighbor Pharmacy convention, taking place in Las Vegas. Our #1 mascot was part of the scavenger hunt for all the convention attendees in the exhibit hall. For two days, Natalie spent over seven hours each day in the mascot costume taking countless pictures with the convention guests.
Thank you Natalie for all your hard work and being such a great representative for Breakthrough T1D!
