The Nevada Chapter Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by our community partners at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. Each month we highlight one of our fabulous chapter volunteers and that volunteer will receive gift cards for free meals from Raising Cane’s.

We are pleased to announce our Raising Canes Volunteer of the Month for this month is Denielle Lucas.

Denielle is the Assistant Marketing Director at Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging Centers (SDMI). Dr. David Steinberg and SDMI served as the Walk Chair for the Breakthrough T1D OneWalk, Las Vegas in 2016. She organized and motivated the teams of employees at seven different locations and the team at the administrative office. She also organized the SDMI booth and their giveaways on walk day.

The SDMI walk teams organized a variety of fundraisers for their teams including raffles, bake sales, car washes, and other fun activities. Denielle employed several different creative marketing techniques including company-wide newsletter updates and promotions on all of the desktop backgrounds of the computers at SDMI.

Thanks to her efforts, SDMI finished the Breakthrough T1D OneWalk as the top corporate team and raised $21,410, narrowly beating the next corporate team (and their friendly rival) by less than $200!
