Each year, Breakthrough T1D Georgia hosts a day of education for people living with and affected by type 1 diabetes – TypeOneNation Summit. This event includes workshops and real dialogue about T1D: psychological and emotional impact of T1D, transitioning to college, managing teens with T1D, advocating for your child through 504 plans, counting carbs, Diabetes 101 for family and friends, and much more.

Next year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 19th, 8:30am – 3pm at the Infinite Energy Center in Duluth. The keynote presenter will be Kady Helme who has participated in the Artificial Pancreas Trials. For more information about Kady, click here – Kady Helme Speaker Bio.

Childcare will be provided with interactive activities and a visit from the knights and falconer at Medieval Times. One guest will also win a family four-pack to a Medieval Times show.
