It’s Not Too Early to Plan Your Spring Kids Walk: VIDEO

After an unseasonably warm Fall, it looks like Jack Frost has finally decided to pay us a visit. Even in this chilly weather, it’s not too early to start planning your Spring Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes. In fact, for many schools, Spring is the perfect time to host a Kids Walk. Sun-filled days get longer, flowers are blooming, there is a light at the end of the tunnel (summer break!), and student morale is generally higher.  Higher morale means higher motivation to fundraise.

The best part of Kids Walk is that, not only do you have the opportunity to educate your child’s friends and teachers about type 1 diabetes, but 10% of the total amount raised is donated back to the school. Since October, schools throughout Georgia have raised over $31,000! That means approximately $3,100 has been awarded to schools to use any way they like – to purchase new equipment, books, and field trips. The possibilities are limitless.

Starting a Kids Walk in your child’s school is so easy, you’ll wonder why you haven’t done it before. Take a look at the video below to find out how easy it is.
