Whitney Amos is excited to join the Breakthrough T1D GA/SC team! She has been in the nonprofit world most of her professional career with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and psychology from the University of Georgia. Whitney grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where her family still resides. From sales to fundraising, volunteer management, annual giving and event planning, Whitney brings a wealth of knowledge. Prior to joining the Breakthrough T1D team Whitney managed Annual and Leadership Giving programs at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and the Georgia Tech Alumni Association. Whitney is an avid traveler, fan of the Chicago Cubs & Georgia Bulldogs, reader, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She lives in Atlanta, GA with her puppy, Winnie.

Annalise is a graduate of Florida State University with a Public Health degree and has lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of five. Annalise has been involved with Breakthrough T1D since her diagnosis and is extremely proud of this opportunity to work with such a remarkable organization. She is passionate about diabetes care and education, alongside advocacy, community engagement, and fundraising. Annalise hopes to be a valuable asset in this position and within the Georgia and South Carolina chapter – especially focusing on continually moving towards advancements to find a cure for type 1 diabetes!
