Highlights from the Breakthrough T1D’s 2017 One Walk in Gloucester Township
On Sunday, October 22nd, over 6,000 walkers came out to support Breakthrough T1D’s One Walk in Gloucester Township at Camden County College. Gloucester Township was host to the event for the second year at Camden County College.
Volunteers were on hand bright and early to set up for the days festivities! The program kicked off with a performance by Dance Class NJ followed by our Opening Ceremony. During the program, walkers were greeted by Karen Rogers from 6ABC and our 2017 Corporate Walk Chair, Gloucester Township’s Mayor David Mayer. Prior to the ribbon cutting, the Salem County Vocational Technical High School AFJROTC presented the colors as Cherry Hill West’s Women’s Choir, Fermata sang our National Anthem.
After the walk, top individual fundraisers that raised over $1,000 under their name, were invited to a VIP party. Inside the VIP party, guests enjoyed a catered lunch, entertainment and a relaxing chair massage. In addition, they received a VIP swag bag and a special VIP gift and award!
A special thank you to all of our sponsors, walkers, donors, Team Captains and volunteers. There was so much fun and energy in the air. THANK YOU for making this year’s walk a success!
