Why the South Jersey TON Summit is for everyone
We are nearly ONE WEEK AWAY from the Breakthrough T1D 2020 TypeOneNation Summit in South Jersey! Did you get your tickets yet? This year’s event will take place Saturday, March 14, at Camden County College—and there’s still time to register!
This year’s keynote speech will be a unique experience for all ages—a live podcast! Rob Howe, host of Diabetics Doing Things podcast, and Dr. Daniel Finan, research director at Breakthrough T1D, will come together to discuss research updates, answer questions from the audience, and get into the nitty-gritty of managing type 1 diabetes (T1D). You won’t want to miss it!
The morning’s agenda is packed with educational, eye-opening sessions lead by local experts that are designed to help you and your family best manage life with T1D:
- T1D 101 with Brianna Hanekom
- Taking Diabetes to School with Vince Myers and Michele Brown, BSN, RN, CSN
- Nutrition and T1D with Catherine Harrison, RD, CDE
- T1D After Dark with Dr. Shara Bialo
- T1D Caretaker Training with Michelle Laranko, RN, CDE, CPN
- Overcoming the challenges of Exercise & Sport with T1D with Rob Howe
You will also have the opportunity to meet with prominent local exhibitors, including representatives from camps, hospitals, and T1D technology companies.
Want to attend but worried about childcare? We have you covered! Register your child for our Kids Camp, where volunteers knowledgeable about T1D will educate your children in a fun and memorable way!
