Back to School can be a stressful time for parents and children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) especially in a world where we are dealing with the effects of Covid – 19. We wanted to share with you a few upcoming events in our region to help answer questions and give you tips on making the start of this school year easier.

Heading back to School with T1D can feel overwhelming whether you’ve just recently been diagnosed or if you’ve been living with it for several years, but Breakthrough T1D is here to help. Join this month’s Office Hour session in partnership with Daniel Phelan, Associate at Duval & Stachenfeld LLP, Founder, Chairman of the Board & Chief Executive Officer of the Type 1 Action Foundation. Learn tips, strategies, and best practices, to ensure your child has a safe and successful school year. Learn the tools to best prepare your child and help bridge the communication between you and your child’s school administration.
