Giving Tuesday is on November 29

On Tuesday, November 29, Breakthrough T1D New England is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving, which also happens to fall this year during National Diabetes Awareness Month.

We see this as a chance for you to not only spread the word about your partnership with Breakthrough T1D, but also help your family and friends have a more meaningful experience with #GivingTuesday.  Breakthrough T1D funds research that transforms the lives of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We want a cure, and we won’t stop until we find one. Along the way, we will continue to drive scientific progress that delivers new treatments and therapies that make day-to-day life with T1D easier, safer and healthier.

To jumpstart our efforts,  an anonymous donor will generously match EVERY donation dollar for dollar up to $1,000 made on #GivingTuesday.

Below find inspiration, along with three simple steps to join the movement:

1) Make an online gift at https://bit.ly/NDAM2016, or send a check referencing #GivingTuesday to Breakthrough T1D New England Chapter, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.

2) Tell your T1D story and remind family and friends of why giving to Breakthrough T1D matters to you.  Share how giving to Breakthrough T1D positively impacts your life—not only by funding research but also by providing a community for support and education.

3) Ask others to join you by making a gift to Breakthrough T1D.  Send a follow up email or post on social media to encourage any potential donors who have not yet given to your Walk, Ride, or Team Breakthrough T1D efforts this year. Share the link to your personal or team page so that family and friends can easily give to your cause on #GivingTuesday.  Not an existing event participant?  Share the following link: https://bit.ly/NDAM2016.

Thank you for making a difference this #GivingTuesday and throughout the month of November! You’re helping to create a world without T1D!
