My life with T1D has been tough. From the needles to the diet, it’s been one heck of a challenge.

One of the challenges that I experience is having to be pulled out of sports, which I love. Another challenge is getting pulled out of class and missing the work. Another challenge is the needles. Sometimes they hurt and sometimes they really hurt.  I have blisters and scars from the needles.

The Breakthrough T1D has helped by showing me that there are others just like me. At the Breakthrough T1D, I’ve made friends who share the same struggles. They have also showed me that there are fun ways to live through having T1D. They even showed me foods that taste good that are sugar-free!
