The Ride to Cure Diabetes is a destination cycling event that takes place in several stunning locations across the United States. Cyclists of all skill levels come together to raise funds for Breakthrough T1D and take part in a weekend-long celebration leading up to the one-day Ride.

Each of our five Ride locations has its own unique landscape that includes distance options for every level of rider. La Crosse and Amelia Island are the most beginner and family-friendly courses while the altitude and elevation gain at Loveland makes it the most challenging. Whether you are an experienced rider or this is your first time on a bicycle, Breakthrough T1D has a Ride for you!

August 10-13: La Crosse, WI – The most popular location for Illinois Riders. Located between the bluffs of Wisconsin and the Mississippi River, you’ll enjoy scenic views as you cross two bridges and three states. This route is relatively flat which makes it ideal for new riders and families.

August 24-27: Loveland, CO – NEW for 2017! Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Northern Colorado, Loveland is hailed as the Gateway to Estes and Rocky Mountain National Parks. The 5,000 foot elevation gain makes this location the most challenging, but there are course options that range from as low as 30 miles up to 100 miles.

September 14-17: Saratoga Springs, NY – NEW for 2017! Saratoga Springs is 25 miles north of Albany, NY, in the southernmost foothills of the Adirondack Region, and combines the quaintness of New England with the autumn beauty of upstate New York.

October 5-8: Amelia Island, FL – This Ride sold out within a few hours in 2016! Amelia Island is an oasis where you can expect to cycle along pristine beaches, over marshlands, and through maritime forests. This destination also features relatively flat terrain making it ideal for newer riders and families.

November 16-19: Tucson, AZ – You’ll enjoy beautiful mountain vistas and desert charm throughout one of the largest and most revered century rides in the country. Join thousands of other riders in this legendary event!
