e-Cycle, the well-known mobile buyback and recycling company, goes beyond offering innovative green business solutions and is dedicated to offering exceptional customer service and community support through charitable contributions and philanthropy.

In keeping with its social commitment, it is working hard to raise funds to support the cause of type 1 diabetes during the national diabetes month in November, and helps achieve sustainability initiatives by turning old wireless technologies into new revenue.

The current campaign continues e-Cycle’s history charitable giving to Breakthrough T1D, as well as other worthy causes. It is requesting that clients donate a part of their mobile buyback revenue to the juvenile diabetes research foundation (JDRF).

”They not only have the opportunity to protect the environment by recycling their enterprise mobile devices, but they also can support efforts to improve type 1 diabetes treatment and find a cure,” noted Tonia Irion, president of e-Cycle.

Breakthrough T1D is a global organization that focuses on how to improve the lives of people affected by type1 diabetes. Christopher and Tonia Irion, who have a child with type 1 diabetes, are on the executive board.

According to Tonia Irion, Breakthrough T1D is affording businesses and organizations an avenue to make a difference on multiple levels. The e-Cycle initiative is even more significant considering that November 15 is America Recycles day.

This is not the first time that e-Cycle has undertaken charitable missions through wireless recycling. It hopes to help the cause of Breakthrough T1D with contributions from clients and the amount it raises through the mobile buyback campaign.

Earlier this year, e-Cycle partnered with Ford Motors, which saw thousands of employees at Ford facilities collecting mobiles for shipment to e-Cycle. For each phone collected from August through December, e-Cycle is donating $1 to Breakthrough T1D

“Breakthrough T1D is honored to have a partner in e-Cycle and the Irions. Tonia’s work on our Board is invaluable. She is raising the awareness of the need for research funding for type 1 diabetes in Central Ohio,” said Cathy Paessun, executive director at Mid-Ohio’s Breakthrough T1D.

Tonia Irion, cofounder and president of e-Cycle LLC, was presented with two Gold Stevie Awards for Company of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year in the Business Services categories. The awards were widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards for women executives, entrepreneurs and the organizations they run.
