Our #1 for July – Hailey Kuhbander
in General
Hailey was honored to be chosen as Our #1 for July. We asked her to write a little about herself and her diabetes. Here is what she had to say:

“My name is Hailey Kuhbander. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago. I was 9 years old when I was diagnosed. I have an insulin pump and a Dexcom sensor that keeps me alive. I have went to several Diabetic camps for my diabetes and love all the new friends that I make every year. The way I think of it is diabetes is an opportunity. It gives me a way to be different from others but in a good way because scientists are working very hard on a cure and I have faith that one day a cure will be found. That is why every year my family and I walk to help support the Breakthrough T1D and we together hope for a cure. ”

Hailey, we are proud to have you on our team and proud to name you Our #1. Hailey and other children like her are why we fight for a cure for type 1 diabetes. You have a reason why you support Breakthrough T1D – Who’s your #1?
