Breakthrough T1D Youth Council of Greater Ann Arbor
in General

Breakthrough T1D has a group of amazing young volunteers that really take charge and lead the community by showing the Ann Arbor community what volunteering is all about.
The Breakthrough T1D Youth Council of Greater Ann Arbor gives youth with T1D, as well as friends and supporters, an opportunity to become more involved with Breakthrough T1D Southeast Michigan. The Youth Council provides a supportive environment for those connected to T1D, allowing them get knows others with similar experiences. The Youth Council organizes fundraisers, including car washes, Orange Leaf, California Pizza Kitchen, and many others for its Breakthrough T1D One Walk team. The Youth Council also volunteers across the Chapter by participating in the Breakthrough T1D One Walk, acting as advocates for Breakthrough T1D, and educating their peers about T1D. Although recently formed, the Youth Council has grown remarkably with a wide variety of teens from all over the area that are passionate and engaged in the work of Breakthrough T1D.
