Walk Day Volunteers Still Needed!

in ,

The Breakthrough T1D Greater Michigan Walks are gearing up for a great year of fundraising and with that comes many volunteer opportunities. Our dedicated and passionate volunteers help us make a difference every day.  Whether you can spare only a little bit of time or make a more significant time commitment we hope that you will join us.  Our Volunteers play an intricate role in bringing awareness to T1D while serving as a reflection of strength, courage, and optimism to all. Your dedication and commitment help us make a difference every day and with your renewed support, Breakthrough T1D will again be a shining light in 2016!  This year offer so many opportunities for our volunteers to help turn “Type 1 to Type None”.

We have the following upcoming walks we still need volunteers for

  • Ann Arbor/Dexter Walk on September 18, 2016, Hudson Mills Metropark
  • Metro Detroit Walk, September 25, 2016, Milliken State Park /Detroit RiverWalk
  • Bay City, October 2, 2016, Veteran’s Memorial Park

The walk day runs from about 6:30am- 12:00pm, so we can fit you into a time that works for you.  We also have lots of different areas that can fit your desire to help from the Accounting Room, Face Painting, Finish Line Cheer Team, Refreshment Tent, Greeters, Registration, Clean Up & Teardown, and the list goes on!
