Spring is finally here and we are ready to WALK and turn Type One into Type None!

There are three Breakthrough T1D One Walk events locally this Spring:

Saturday, April 18th in Baltimore, MD
Sunday, May 17th in Leesburg, VA
Sunday, May 31st in Washington, DC

The funds and support raised by the Breakthrough T1D One Walk, which bring together over 10,000 people locally, help us turn Type One into Type None.

You can participate as a Family Team, Corporate Team or an individual walker. Family teams aren’t limited to family members. They can include your friends, coworkers, classmates and neighbors—everyone is welcome to join. Corporate teams are created by companies who want to support T1D research, but just like family teams, anyone can join, even non-employees.

To start a team, just register online at walk.jdrf.org and from there, you’ll have access to your online Participant Center, where you’ll find fundraising tips and tools and can invite anyone to join your team and make a donation to Breakthrough T1D.

One Walk Maryland – Tuesday, April 14th (7am – 8pm) – Come by our One Walk Maryland Bank Day to:

• Drop off your donations
• Pick up your t-shirts (Walkers who raise at least $100 earn a Walk Shirt)
• Pick up your Snack Ticket (Every registered Walker receives a snack ticket for the day of Walk)
• Register any remaining team members
• Drop off your Team T-Shirt entry for the T-Shirt Contest
• Have any remaining Walk Day questions answered

Interested in Volunteering? We need registration and activities booth volunteers, walk route volunteers, set-up and clean-up, etc! We are looking for 50+ interested volunteers to help out on our Walk days: (We are no longer in need of volunteer for our One Walk Maryland.)
