2020 Maryland One Walk Update
in General
Dear Supporters,
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by COVID‐19, as well as those who are concerned about its impact on the type one diabetes (T1D) community. We, as a community, rise to challenges, and there is no better time than now to show that we are truly stronger together.
With the rising incidence of COVID‐19 cases across the United States, Breakthrough T1D has made the difficult decision to not hold an in‐person gathering for the Breakthrough T1D One Walk, Baltimore on Saturday April 25, 2020. Instead, we will be hosting a virtual experience! We believe this decision is in the best interest of our Breakthrough T1D community and we want to do our part to slow the spread of this outbreak.
We ARE encouraging everyone to join us for a virtual Breakthrough T1D One Walk on Facebook and Instagram on Saturday April 25th! We will ask you and your team to put on your Breakthrough T1D best and get active! More details will be coming soon via email, website, and our social media pages (search Breakthrough T1D Maryland).
Please share this information with any of your walkers who may not have received this message. If you have immediate questions or concerns, please contact me at 443-792-4229 or kluchey@BreakthroughT1D.org.
Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do to support Breakthrough T1D’s mission to fund type 1 diabetes research. Even in the face of adversity, Breakthrough T1D remains laser‐focused on our mission. Your continued support is vital as we work towards a world without diabetes.
Be Safe,
Kristen Komlosy and Kelsey Luchey
