The board, staff and supporters of the Breakthrough T1D Mid-Atlantic Chapter would like to honor the life and memory of Martin D. “Art” Walsh. As a past member of our board and volunteer, Art was known for his kind personality, generous nature and dedication to the mission of ending T1D. Art hosted an annual golf outing to pay tribute to his brother John, who was diagnosed with T1D at age 11 and passed away in 2000. Over the past 23 years, the outing raised more than $1.5 million for Breakthrough T1D.

In lieu of flowers, the Walsh family would like to honor his memory by accepting donations to Breakthrough T1D.

We are incredibly saddened by this loss to our community and send our deepest sympathies to all those who knew and loved Art.
